How important is it really?
You have a huge sales presentation that you have to give to one of your biggest prospects ever.
You know about it two weeks ahead of time and you work feverishly to prepare for your time in the spotlight.
You do everything right. The proposal, the portfolio, everything is perfect.
The day of your presentation dawns, you dress yourself as you have every other morning, one pant leg at a time, except for one difference…
The ancy feeling you have in your stomach…
hmm, ok maybe that will subside as you focus a little more intently.
As you presentation draws closer, the ancy turns to butterflies, turns to nerves as you try even harder to get everything just perfect.
You walk into your presentation as a cold sweat begins to run.
The first words out of your mouth are “umm…” long pause and then you awkwardly squeek out “…hi” while you placidly shake their hand.
“OH NO,” you think, “THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING NOW!”
As the presentation continues, you just seem to drone on and on about all the facts you know, frequently punctuated by “umms” and “errs” all the while knowing you must be tanking.
You walk out of the room, dejected.
Why?
Because you started all wrong, that’s why.
Watch this and find out what I am talking about…
